The ‘Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Nantes’ was established in 1969 and is one of the twenty ‘Ecoles Nationales Supérieures d’Architecture’ in France. It is located on an urban campus, at the heart of the island of Nantes since 2009. The school offers courses in the fields of architecture, urban planning, scenography and naval architecture in a building designed by Lacaton-Vassal, winners of the 2008 ‘Grand Prix National de l’Architecture’. It welcomes around 1000 students each year and promotes a rich and synergistic student life. The school is also home to the research laboratory ‘Ambiances Architectures Urbanités (AAU), une unité mixte’.
