Bachelor of Architecture & Urbanism
The Bachelor of Architecture and Urbanism at ENSA Nantes (Mauritius) is a three-year fundamental degree in the professional fields of architecture, design and spatial design. This is an intermediate level of training that gives access to the Master of Architecture and Urbanism and other postgraduate degrees in the field of construction, urban planning and spatial planning.
This degree aims to train future designers capable of responding to specific situations and challenges through the development of skills specific to the architectural field. The modules offered focus on architecture and urban planning and are provided by highly qualified local and international tutors. The program also allows the development of transversal skills by working in teams around multidisciplinary projects and in an intercultural context, implementing a simple scientific approach and being bilingual in a professional situation.
Registration in the first year is open to holders of a bachelor’s certificate or equivalent diploma.
Master of Architecture & Urbanism
The Master of Architecture and Urbanism is a two-year advanced degree and leads to the State Diploma of Architecture (DEA) which confers the master’s degree. It allows the student to master critical thinking in relation to architectural issues, to master autonomously the design of an architectural project by deepening its fundamental concepts, methods and knowledge. It aims at the critical understanding of construction processes in their relationships to different contexts and scales, with reference to different uses, techniques and temporalities. This cycle also allows the student to prepare for the different modes of practice and professional fields of architecture as well as for research in architecture.
The holder of a DEA diploma can access, in addition to design, the functions of consultancy, assistance to project management, technical studies, urban planning and development.
